Courage Finds You

A wealthy businessman invited several colleagues to tour his estate. "These are the things that success will get you," he said as he walked the group past the stables and over to his collection of antique sports cars. "But this is what business is all about," he said as he brought the group to the edge of a pool filled with alligators.

"Alligators are a lot like the challenges you will face in your career - they can crush you, they can drown you, and they can consume you. But courage is just about the only thing that will help you tackle the 'alligators' on your path to success. In fact, if anyone here has the courage to swim across the pool, I will give you whatever you want - money, land - you name it."

The guests laughed at this outrageous proposal and began to walk away from the pool. Suddenly, a loud splash was heard. All eyes were focused on one man as he swam through the water with the alligators snapping at his heels. After a few moments he reached the other side, climbed out, and gasped for air.
