어떤 목사가 주일 아침 예배를 마치면서 한 결혼식을 주례하기로 계획하였다.

 

예배의 마지막 기도를 드린 후, 그는 신랑 신부를 신도들 앞으로 불러내어 간결하게 예식을 올릴 참이었는데,
결혼할 사람들의 이름이 아무리 해도 생각나질 않았다.

 

"결혼을 원하시는 분들은 앞 쪽으로 나와 주시겠습니까?" 목사가 청하였다.

 

순식간에 미혼녀 9 명, 과부 3 명, 홀아비 4 명, 그리고 미혼남 6 명이 앞으로 걸어 나오는 것이었다.

Wedding Ceremony 
 
A minister was planning a wedding at the close of the Sunday morning service.

 

After the benediction, he had planned to call the couple down for a brief ceremony in front of the congregation.

For the life of him, he couldn't think of the names of those who were to be married.

 

"Will those wanting to get married please come to the front?" he requested.

 

Immediately, nine single ladies, three widows, four widowers, and six single men stepped to the front.
