어떤 아가씨가 몸이 불편하여, 한 동료 직원에게 내과의사 한 사람을 추천해 달라고 부탁하였다.

"시내의 훌륭한 의사 한 분을 아는데, 굉장히 비싸요. 처음으로 찾아가면 500 달러를 받고, 그 후로는 갈 때마다 100 불씩 내야 해요."

아가씨가 그 의사의 병원에 가서, 돈을 좀 아껴 보려고, 명랑한 어조로 말했다.

"저 또 왔어요!"

행여라도 속아 넘어가기는커녕, 의사는 그녀를 얼른 진찰하고서 말했다, "아주 좋아요, 지난번에 알려드린 그대로만 치료를 계속하세요."

Expensive Doctors

A young woman wasn't feeling well, and asked one of her co-workers to recommend a physician.

"I know a great one in the city, but he is very expensive. Five hundred dollars for the first visit, and one hundred dollars for each one after that."

The woman went to the doctor's office and, trying to save a little money, cheerily announced.

"I'm back!"

Not fooled for a second, the doctor quickly examined her and said, "Very good, just continue the treatment I prescribed on your last visit."
