한 네덜란드인이 한 미국인에게 빨갛고, 하얗고, 파란 색상의네덜란드 국기를 설명해 주고 있었다.

"우리나라 국기는 우리의 세금을 상징한답니다. 세금에 대한 이야기를 할 때 우린 뻘겋게 핏대를 세우고요, 세금 고지서를 받을 때 우린 하얗게 질리고요, 세금을 낼 때 우린 퍼렇게 우울해 지는 거죠."

미국인이 고개를 끄덕였다. "그건 미국과 마찬가지로군요, 우린 눈앞이 아찔하여 별이 보인다는 것 말고는!"

Explaining the Flag

A Dutchman was explaining the red, white, and blue Netherlands flag to an American.

"Our flag is symbolic of our taxes. We get red when we talk about them, white when we get our tax bills, and blue after we pay them."

The American nodded. "It's the same in the USA only we see stars, too!"
