군용 관제탑

어떤 공군기지들은 공군과 민간 항공사가 각각 비행장을 반반씩 사용하게 되어 있고, 그 중앙에 비행 관제탑을 두고 있다.
어느 날 관제탑은 한 비행기로부터 질문을 받았다, "지금 몇시요?"
관제탑이 응답하였다, "댁은 뉘시오?"
비행기의 대답, "이 쪽이 누구건 그게 무슨 상관이오?"
관제탑의 대답, "누구인가에 따라 차이가 아주 커요. 만약 아메리칸 항공사 비행기라면, 지금 3 시지요. 공군 비행기라면 1500 시고요. 해군 비행기라면,6 타종이고요 [해군 함정에서는 반 시간마다 종을 침 = 역자]. 육군 항공기면, 큰 바늘 12에 작은 바늘 3이라고 하고요. 만약 해병대 항공기라면, 지금 목요일 오후지요."

Military Control Tower
On some air bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle.
One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, "What time is it?"
The tower responded, "Who is calling?"
The aircraft replied, "What difference does it make?"
The tower replied, "It makes a lot of difference. If it is an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o'clock. If it is an Air Force plane, it is 1500 hours. If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells. If it is an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3. If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, it's Thursday afternoon."
