어느 날 아침 한 금발아가씨가 출근해서는 펑펑 울고 있었다. 부하 직원들의 복리를 잘 챙겨주는 그녀의 보스가 측은한듯 물었다. "무슨 언짢은 일이라도 있어요?" 

금발이 대답하였다, "오늘 아침 일찍, 제 어머니가 돌아가셨다는 전화를 받았어요." 

그러자 보스는 무척 안타까워 하면서, 그 아가씨에게 말해 주었다. "오늘은 집에 가 있도록 하지 그래, 회사 일이 뭐 엄청 바쁜 것도 아니니까. 하루 푹 쉬면서 긴장을 풀도록 해요." 

금발이 아주 차분히 언급하였다, "아녜요, 그냥 여기 있는 게 낫겠어요. 제 마음을 추스릴 필요가 있는데, 그러려면 여기 있는 것이 최선일 것 같아요." 

보스는 알겠다며 그녀를 평상시대로 근무하게 해 주었다. "뭐든 필요하면, 알려줘요." 

그리고는, 두어 시간 뒤 보스는 그 금발이 어떻게 하고 있는지 알아보고 싶어져서, 사무실 밖을 내다보니, 그녀가 미친듯 울고 있는 것이 아닌가!! 그가 얼른 달려 나가서 물었다, "이번엔 또 무슨 그토록 안 좋은 일이람, 괜찮겠어요?" 

"아뇨!" 금발이 소리쳤다. "방금 동생 전화를 받았는데, 걔네 엄마도 돌아가셨다지 뭐예요!!"

Double Death 

A blonde goes into work one morning crying her eyes out. Her boss, concerned about all his employees' well being, asked sympathetically, "What's the matter?" 

The blonde replies, "Early this morning I got a phone call saying that my mother had passed away." 

The boss, feeling very sorry at this point, explains to the young girl. "Why don't you go home for the day, we aren't terribly busy. Just take the day off to relax and rest." 

The blonde very calmly states, "No, I'd be better off here. I need to keep my mind off it and I have the best chance of doing that here." 

The boss agrees and allows the blonde to work as usual. "If you need anything, just let me know." 

Well, a few hours pass and the boss decides to check on the blonde. He looks out over his office and sees the blonde hysterically crying!! He rushes out to her, asking, "What's so bad now. Are you gonna be ok?" 

"No!" exclaims the blonde. "I just got a call from my sister. She told me that HER mom died too!!"
