서부의 적군

한 기사와 그의 부하들이 온종일 힘든 전투를 마치고 궁성으로 돌아왔다.
"우리의 전황은 어떠한고?" 왕이 물었다.
"폐하," 기사가 대답하였다, "저는 하루 종일 폐하의 이름으로 서쪽 지역의 적군 마을들을 불태우며 강탈과 노략질을 하였사옵나이다."
"뭐라고?!" 왕이 소리쳤다, "서쪽에 나의 적이라곤 전혀 없는데!"
"오, 아니옵니다..." 기사가 말했다. "저어, 이제는 있사옵나이다."

A knight and his men return to their castle after a long hard day of fighting.
"How are we faring?" asks the king.
"Sire," replies the knight, "I have been robbing and pillaging on your behalf all day, burning the towns of your enemies in the west."
"What?!" shrieks the king. "I don't have any enemies to the west!"
"Oh, no..." says the knight. "Well, you do now."
