북부 애리조나에서 방문판매원 하는 여자가 차를 몰고 집에 돌아가던 중인데, 웬 인디언 여자가 좀 태워달라고 하는 것이었다. 귀가 길이 지루하고 적막했던 터라, 그녀는 차를 세우고 그 인디언 여자를 태웠다. 간단한 얘기를 몇 마디 나누고 나서. 인디언 여자는 앞좌석에 갈색 가방이 하나 놓여 있는 것을 보았다.

"그 가방엔 뭐가 들어있어요?" 그녀가 물었다.

"와인 한 병요, 남편 주려고요." 판매원이 대답했다.

A saleswoman is driving toward home in northern Arizona when she sees an Indian woman hitchhiking. Since the trip had been long and quiet, she stops the car and the Indian woman gets in. After a bit of small talk, the Indian woman notices a brown bag on the front seat.

"What's in the bag?", she asks.

"It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband", says the saleswoman.

The Indian woman is silent for a while and then she says, "Good trade."
