한 대학생이 뉴욕의 센트럴 파크를 거닐던 중, 돌연 어떤 꼬마 여자아이가 사나운 불독의 공격을 받고 있는 것을 목격하고는, 그리로 달려가서 그 개와 싸우기 시작하였다. 그가 여자 애의 생명을 구해내긴 하였으나, 그 과정에서 그 맹견이 죽어버렸다.

"근데 저는 미국인도 아니걸랑요!" 그가 말했다. 

"오, 그럼 어떤 분이신가?" 

그가 말했다: "저는 사우디 사람인데요!" 

이튿날 신문들에는 이런 기사가 났다: "이슬람 극단주의자가 무고한 미국 개를 죽이다!"

Central Park 

A college student is taking a walk in Central park in New York. Suddenly he sees a little girl being attacked by a pit bull dog . He runs over and starts fighting with the dog. He saves the girl's life, but the pit bull is killed in the process. 

A policeman who was watching the scene walks over and says: "You are a hero, tomorrow you can read it in all the newspapers: "Brave New Yorker saves the life of little girl." 

The man says: "But I am not a New Yorker!" 

"Oh, then it will say in newspapers in the morning: 'Brave American saves life of little girl'" the policeman answers. 

"But I am not an American!" says the man. 

"Oh, what are you then?" 

The man says: "I am a Saudi !" 

The next day the newspapers says: "Islamic extremist kills innocent American dog!"
