세례

톰은 교회에 다니는데 세례를 받기로 결심하였다. 목사가 그를 세례용 수조에 세 번을 담그고서 말했다, "성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 그대에게 세례를 주노라. 이제부터 그대는 톰이 아니라 요셉으로 불리울 것이며, 다시는 맥주를 마시면 안 될 것이니라." 

톰이 귀가하여 시원한 캔맥주 하나를 꺼내 들고는, 목사가 한 말이 생각나자, 부엌으로 가서 맥주캔을 물 그릇에 세 번 담그면서 말했다, "이제부터 그대는 버드와이저가 아니라 오렌지주스라 불리울 것이니라."

Baptism 

Tom goes to church and he decided to get baptized. The pastor dipped him thrice in the baptismal pool and said, "You are baptized in the name of the father, and of the son and of the holy spirit. From now on you are no longer to be called Tom but Joseph, and you should never drink beer again." 

Tom went home and took a cold pint of beer, recalling what the pastor said he headed for the kitchen and dipped the pint of beer in a bowl of water thrice saying, "from now on you are no longer to be called Budweiser but orange juice."
