어떤 병원 수술실 앞에 두 어린이가 각각 들것에 누워 나란히 있었다. 첫 어린이가 몸을 돌리고 물었다, "너 여기 뭐 하러 온 거니?"

둘째 어린이가 말했다, "편도선 떼어내는 수술 받으러 왔는데, 좀 불안해."

첫 어린이가 말했다, "걱정할 것 없어. 난 네 살 때 그 수술을 받았는데 잠에 골아떨어졌다가 깨어났더니 젤리 사탕과 아이스크림을 잔뜩 주더라. 누워 떡먹기야."

그러자 둘째 어린이가 물었다, “넌 뭣 때문에 왔니?” 첫 어린이가 말했다, "포경수술 하러."

그랬더니 둘째 어린이가 말했다, "으와, 난 태어났을 때 그 수술을 받았는데, 일 년 간이나 걷지도 못 했다구!"

Tonsils vs. Circumcision

Two little kids are in a hospital, lying on stretchers next to each other, outside the operating room.

The first kid leans over and asks, "What are you in here for?"

The second kid says, "I'm in here to get my tonsils out and I'm a little nervous."

The first kid says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and ice cream. It's a breeze."

The second kid then asks, "What are you here for?" The first kid says, A circumcision."

And the second kid says, "Whoa, I had that done when I was born. Couldn't walk for a year!"
